This past week we’ve seen some very good data points signifying strength coming back into the real estate market. I’ve included links to three articles for you that discuss some positive signs in the market. Yesterday, numbers were released that show the first month-over-month increase in home values in 3 years. This is much different that the increase in sales that we’ve seen lately (as described in the articles – one deals with New Home sales and the other is Existing Home Sales). We have seen some strength in the numbers of properties sold but haven’t, until yesterday, seen the VALUES of homes increase. This is a very positive sign.

As we continue to get positive reports like these, buyers that have been sitting on the sidelines are going to come back into the market in droves. This will lead to price stabilization, the beginnings of appreciation, inventory reduction and most importantly confidence and excitement about the prospect of making money in real estate.
